On October 9, 16, and 17, TCEQ approved a combined total of $249,684 worth of fines for 45 regulated entities. Among the regulations violations categories were air quality, Edwards aquifer, municipal wastewater discharge, petroleum storage tank, public water system, waste disposal wells, landscape irrigator, municipal solid waste, and water quality.

Additionally,  the city of Austin, TX is under a mandatory boil water notice due to high bacterial counts. As of now, the TCEQ states that Austin is not in violation of any drinking water regulations. Because of the notice, grocery stores have faced high demand for bottled water. Further, some restaurants have decided to close temporarily to protect customers.
